Starting Right Now http://startingrightnow.org/

Starting Right, Now is a program meeting the needs of the growing population of homeless families and children in Pinellas County. We intervene in a uniquely holistic way for our clients. We create an individualized program for each family or youth. We expose our students to everything in the community. We take them to tour college campuses or vocational programs, fill out the applications, complete the essays and even help with their financial aid and scholarships.

We intercede at a critical juncture in a child’s life, breaking the generational cycle of poverty. Unlike other agencies, we provide a deep, holistic and personal approach to end homelessness one family, one child, at a time. We are not a hand-out, we are not a band-aid. We cure homelessness, achieving remarkable results.

Creative Clay http://www.creativeclay.org

Thanks to the St. Pete Glitter Queens very hard work and donation. We have been able to serve 686 children, parents, and staff at All Children's Hospital since November 2013. The Creative Care program would not have continued at the hospital without the Glitter Queens effort.  BECAUSE OF GLITTER QUEEN'S FUNDING raised at their Royal Ball and Auction, Creative Clay was able to bring the Arts to sick children at their bedsides. Each of these women was supportive and enthusiastic to our team. They are an encouragement to all of us. --Dee Perconti Board of Directors

Arts Conservatory for Teens (A.C.T.) in St. Petersburg. http://www.act1midtown.org

The St. Pete Glitter Queens' financial gift to the A.C.T. (Arts Conservatory for Teens) was very impactful to our organization. It was because of SPGQ, the A.C.T. was enabled to provide scholarships to the 'kids' to continue in the A.C.T. program, therefore putting more underprivileged and at-risk youths and teens on a track for high school graduation and college placement. Thanks to SPGQ, the A.C.T. is what it has become today! On behalf of the youth and teens, parents, Board of Advisers, and the A.C.T.'s administration thank you St. Pete Glitter Queens for belief in the vision and the mission. - Alex Harris, CEO of the A.C.T.
